A famous french saying, as for those who don’t read french it means ” the only difference between kids and adults is the price of their toys”<\/p>\n

And for those of you who don’t read English either, well you shouldn’t be reading this blog anyways…<\/p>\n

Many photographers proudly display the list of their equipment on their website or blog, I find it amusing and missing the point.<\/p>\n

And while you need professional equipment to do a professional job, the camera is just a tool, it’s up to you, how you use it! There is absolutely no guarantee that a professional equipment means a professional work.<\/p>\n

As it is the case in many circumstances ( I let you guess), it’s not about what you have, it’s about how you use it!<\/p>\n

I know some people then would say, well you can’t play tennis with a ping-pong racket! I do agree, so I regularly upgrade my equipment, in those days of digital technology you have to.
When it was all film, it didn’t matter what camera you used, as long as you had a good lens on it, digital changed all that. A 6mp dslr at 800iso will never have the same quality as a Nikon D700 (or D3) or canon 1DS or 5D at the same iso level, no way!<\/p>\n

As a professional, new cameras allow us to be more creative by pushing the limits. So yes I will be getting that new 5D very soon, as it will allow me more freedom, especially when shooting indoors ( church, reception etc)<\/p>\n

A list of the equipment that I use would be quite long, not really interesting. I own more than 20 cameras, most of them older than me, show me anything that’s mechanical and has a lens on it, chances are I will buy it!<\/p>\n

I love my toys…<\/p>\n
