Jessie and Josh

This is Jessie…

And this is together with Josh, natural and happy!

Just like a dancer!!!

A Posed shot…

…and candid one. I prefer candid shots, it requires skills to catch that special moment, that will never happen again exactly the same way.

My Rolleiflex.

for the evening Jessie had a red Chinese style dress made especially for her wedding day with a little twist to the traditional design…

It started to rain earlier in the afternoon, the rain is a double edged sword when it comes to night photography, ideally it would rain a lot and then just stop when you want to take photos!!!
Let me explain: the rain would cover the pavement and offer reflections for all the street lights, but if it keeps on raining it becomes difficult to take photos…

This is what happened on that day, it kept raining! So we had to go for “plan B” : stay covered !!!, which is something I was taught early when I first entered the French air force 😉 or maybe my dad first told me that in my teenage years…not so sure now, anyways…

Here we were shooting from under the big stairs that lead to the opera house above, so there’s actually a roof above their head, but it’s raining behind.
The water on the floor reflects the light of the CKS hall : you get twice the light!

Taipei city at night in CKS memorial hall provided a great background for a beautiful bride in a beautiful dress.

Together.

Fast lens, burst of flash in a reflector and that’s about it!

Whatever happens, adaptability is the key!!! keep shooting!

Have a nice week-end!
