I recently smashed the screen of my 5D mark II as it swung around my shoulder and hit the battery grip of my second 5D.
As I usually carry two cameras on me, it was supposed to happen at some point…
The clear plastic cover on top didn’t help much to prevent it though 😉
Fortunately the screen itself wasn’t damaged and I was able to continue shooting using both cameras.
It reminded of the importance of backing up!
The main reason I carry two cameras on me at any wedding I shoot is the ability to adapt and react to different situations very quickly.
I love available light photography, with fast lens, fast and unobtrusive way of taking a photo while I keep a second body with a zoom lens and a mounted flash for general purpose.
Of course I also have a third camera in the bag as back-up again, just in case!
There are also many reasons why I love Taiwan, the first is the people and then the food, those made it very easy for me to adapt here, and among the many things that make life so enjoyable here is the quality of customer service that companies offer, and Canon is one of them.
I took my camera to Canon repair centre on Heping East Road on a Tuesday and picked it up the next day, it cost me 1000 NTD.
I know how quickly can people complain about something so I would like to praise Canon Taiwan and their great service.
Have a great day,
Back-up your data and go take some more photos!
