The basic rule for wedding day photography is to be fast, things happen quickly, they somehow don’t wait for you… You must be there, on time and ready if you’re to take great photos.
Another very important quality is the adaptability, the capacity to adapt to a changing environment, for wedding day it might the weather during the outdoor ceremony, different lighting conditions indoors, big window with backlight during the tea ceremony etc
And among the many “tools” that I use to adapt to different situations, the 50mm lens is one of my favourite.
This photo was taken as I was in the MRT (Taipei metro) with my wife…
